Evo Game Engine Update + News
Evo Game Engine » Devlog
Hey!!! Over the past two months, a new version of Evo has been worked on. While the development is on and off and I originally planned for it to be released on new year, Evo 2.0 will be released in the upcoming month or two. This new version will retain the same simplicity but have a more advanced UI and be even more class-based. I am also going to be experimenting with executable exports & 3d capabilities although no promises for the release. If you would like to join the development team for the engine then email me at 25ratcma@protonmail.com .

Will the new engine have a UI framework (eg Godot, Pixelbox) or will it be mainly focused on the coding window (eg Dragonruby, Love)?
Hello!! Sorry for the late reply. A ui framework is being worked on at the moment. Its particularly buggy at the moment and is still a while from being fixed. Its nothing to advanced like Godot but it will greatly simplify development. If worse comes to worse in development then a coding window alternative will have to be considered.
If the UI framework doesn't pan out initially then having a hot loaded game window with a main script file would be the most attractive format, rather than the common code-build-repeat format.
Ok I will look into that. Thank you for the feedback.
